Dr. Marco Ameduri was born, and received his undergraduate training, in Italy. He obtained his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Cornell University, and before occupying his present position as Senior Lecturer in Physics at WCMC-Q, he was a Guest Scientist at the Max Planck Institute for the Physics of Complex systems in Dresden, Germany.

Dr. Ameduri's research interests are in the field of mathematical physics. At present he is studying models of molecular magnetism in order to describe spin-spin correlation functions in magnetic molecules. In 1996, he received the John M. and Emily B. Clark distinguished teaching award at Cornell University. He is a member of the American Physical Society.
